Laterite nickel ore reduction into metallic ferronickel technology

Laterite-nickel ore, an earth surface weathering crust ore deposit formed of rock mass of nickel sulfide ore being via weathering-leaching-deposition, generally it appears red brown, it has the characteristics of high moisture content, low density, higher strength and lower compressibility.
The geologic structure of laterite-nickel ore generally is divided into covering layer, limonite layer, transition layer, sapropel layer and peridotite layer.

1. Applicative Technology: Rotary Hearth Furnace Technology

Uses the rotary hearth furnace technology to process laterite-nickel ore, the ferronickel material in pellet is rapidly reduced and molten in condition of high temperature, realize the separation of slag and iron, final product is granular iron with nickel, tailings may be made into baking-free brick or cement admixture as building materials.
